App Review: Infinity Blade II on the new iPad (Version 1.1.1)
The sequel is considerably more gorgeous, complex and expansive than the original, qualifying it as the best 3D RPG-action game on the iPad.
Review: Journey
That Game Company, yes, that's the name of the game company that surf on the outer fringes of experimental. Their games are more interactive art with gameplay than games - you may recognise such names such as Flow and Flower. Journey is their newest game, and it is one of the most beautiful games you will ever play. Period.
Review: Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City
"Only this time around, apart from Zombies, you have a larger menace - a more potent and deadly enemy, video game bugs."
Review: Wipeout 2048 on the PSVita
The Wipeout series have been a constant in Sony’s launch titles, always there like a dependable butler standing with cups of adrenalin’ at the launch of every new platform. Mostly as a showcase of what that hardware is capable off. Showoff value aside, its packing some killer gameplay, provided you’re into racing around in cool ships across roller coaster like environs. Wipeout 2048 careens in on the Vita, with its signature visuals and a new premise.
Review: FIFA Street
It’s only natural EA would seek to provide a casual route for their FIFA franchise. Does the street edition do the FIFA franchise any good?
Review: Yakuza: Dead Souls
Gaming has gone Zombie, quite literally. Like a maniacal kid with a bottle of concentrated Hydrochloric acid, game developers will literally throw anything into the same room as Zombies and watch how they get along. They even threw plants and them, and it was inevitable they would pit one of the world's most dangerous gangsters, the Yakuza versus the undead. Question is, are Zombies as much fun with Yakuza, as they are with plants?
Review: Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for the PS Vita
UMVC3 is the mightly clash of two massive action franchises. On one side is the comics juggernaut Marvel, home to the X-Men, Spiderman, Ironman and many more. On the other hand is Capcom, bringing its all-star team from Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and other action franchises. So select your heroes, and duke it out on arenas from both universes, in battles that literally fill the entire screen.
Mass Effect 3 Review and FAQ
We're going to use the FAQ format and answer some of the most obvious and popular questions that come to mind. Mostly because when reviewing a storyline-oriented game, it’s hard not to let out a spoiler.
Final Fantasy XIII2 [Review]
Final Fantasy XIII was a shameful shitstreak of a game that crushed all that was good underfoot, and I say this as a long time, ardent, die hard fan. Around two years later, I find myself with a fresh new copy of XIII-2. Read on and find out this game is worth finishing or smashing to smithereens.
Asura's Wrath [Review]
Capcom has gone and made their God of War, their own way, and it is good.
The Darkness II [Review]
It's going to be tough to top the excellent Darkness by Starbreeze studios. What’s especially tricky is continuing a story that hit a pretty hard full stop, without sounding forced. Digital Extremes has had to do some heavy lifting to make this sequel. Do they succeed in bringing on the Darkness, or do they just slash their wrists while listening to The Cure?
Syndicate [Review]
The 1993 Syndicate was groundbreaking in every way, a caustic, sterile and violent depiction of corporate life in a cyberpunk era. For me, it was the game that introduced me to the cyberpunk future, the world behind the curtains of the corporate world.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning [Review]
Let’s face it, today, any open-world, hack and slash RPG packed with fantasy lore will have to be compared with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It has single-handedly raised the bar very high, or rather in this case shoved the sword very deep into the stone. With the shadow of Skyrim looming high, does EA and Big Huge Games’s new fantasy RPG Kingdoms of Amalur stand a fighting chance, or does it get chalked down as yet another generic title?
PlayStation Vita [Review]
We promised you an in-depth review, and here it is. Sagar Gokhale spent the last week evaluating all the aspects of the Vita, and grades the pros and cons across six parameters before arriving on an overall verdict. Here's a quick highlights reel of everything that's been discussed in this 13-minute segment.
Need for Speed: The Run [Review]
An acronym that is synonymous with balls to the wall exotic racing. Does Need for Speed: The Run take the baton from Hot Pursuit and push the series further, or does it just get the runs?
