Dell shipping XPS and Vostro desktops with third-gen Intel processors
Having updated their Alienware M-x series of laptops with Z77 chipset and matching processors, Dell has now rolled out the desktop upgrades. Since Intel is presently shipping only the quad-core variety of third-generation processors, Dell has included the Ivy Bridge option only in their XPS and Vostro lines of desktops.

Nvidia introduces the GeForce GTX 680 series
Nvidia has disclosed specs and features of the GeForce GTX 680 series of graphics cards, and it's a major update for the company as it transitions from Fermi to Kepler architecture. The flagship GPU, the GTX 680 is Nvidia's first chip to support Direct3D 11.1 and PCI Express 3.0, and has a max. TDP rating of 195W, compared to 244 watts on the GeForce GTX 580. With 1536 CUDA cores, it can power up to three monitors for gaming, and a fourth monitor for IM and browsing tasks.
