ASUS has confirmed that it will begin shipping Transformer Pad 300, starting with US, by the end of this month. The new Transformer Pad first made its appearance earlier this year during the Mobile World Conference. ASUS will continue its patronage of NVIDIA, with a quad-core Tegra 3 system driving this 10.1-inch, Android ICS touting, hybrid tablet.

Sibal to launch Bharti Airtel's 4G services today
Communications Minister Kapil Sibal is expected to launch Bharti Airtel's broadband wireless access (BWA) services based on 4G technology in Kolkata Tuesday. A successor to the 3G and 2G families, 4G is expected to be five times quicker than 3G services. It would offer services such as high-definition mobile TV and video conferencing. Airtel has selected Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE to manage its services in Kolkata.
Facebook takes over Instagram for a cool billion
Facebook has made a move on a potentially serious threat to their dominance, and inked a deal that will see the ownership change in a couple of months. The company has released an official statement on its website that it has acquired Instagram for approximately $1 billion, in cash and stocks. The deal is currently under process and it is expected to be sealed by the end of this quarter.
