Samsung launches two new Android based phones in India
Samsung Electronics has confirmed launch of two new Android-based cell-phones in the Indian market. These phones will be from Samsung’s Galaxy family of phones, out of which Galaxy 3 is priced at Rs.12,300 and the Galaxy 5 will be a tad cheaper at Rs.10,200.
Galaxy 3 has a multi-touch capacitive touch-screen, measuring at 3.2 inches and the ability to display 16 million colours. It has a 667 MHz processor which is supported by 256 MB of internal memory. For user-data storage, Galaxy 3 supports microSD cards with a maximum capacity of 32GB. For the shutterbugs, this phone comes with an auto-focusing, 3.15 megapixel camera.

The slightly cheaper Galaxy 5 has a far more modest touch-screen capable of outputting no more than 256K colours. This phone has similar processing power as its more privileged cousin, with a 600 MHz processor and 170 Megs of internal memory at its disposal.
Samsung took this opportunity to also introduce two new phones for the peasants. Samsung Guru Power has a relatively modest price-tag of Rs.3,150 and Samsung Champ will cost Rs.4,500.
